According to the 2019 Graduate Employability Ranking (a survey that analyses the best 500 universities in the world in terms of employability), among the 758 universities surveyed Università Cattolica has ranked  first in Italy for the active presence of companies in its campuses, and  ranked 58th worldwide. Moreover, Università Cattolica is the fourth university for the number of students interviewed by recruiters. For 2019 QS World University Ranking by subject, Università Cattolica belongs to the top 200 universities of the world in 3 macro areas: Arts & Humanities; Social Sciences & Management and Life Sciences & Medicine.

In addition, Università Cattolica belongs to the first 300 universities in 13 specific disciplinary fields   among the 48 fields analysed by 2019 QS World University Ranking by subject: Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies (51-100), Medicine, Modern Languages and Law (101-150), Agriculture & Forestry, Communication & Media Studies, Economics & Econometrics, Psychology and Accounting & Finance (151-200), Business & Management Studies, Sociology (201-250), Education and Linguistics (251-300).

Supported by an international network of over 600 partner universities, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore offers a wide range of programmes at internationally renowned universities, from semester programmes to periods abroad related to research for the graduation thesis, from intensive language courses to internships all over the world. Over the past year, about 2.854 students took this opportunity, as well as 1.859 youngsters from other countries who have chosen Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for a study experience abroad.

3,364 students have been eligible for exemption of payment of enrolment fees and other 4.014 for other types of financial support. Other specific services have been provided to over 1,388 students with disabilities. About 27,2 million euros have been allocated by the University and EDUCatt to the funding of exemptions of payment of university fees and other types of financial support.

In the last year, research was supported with over 29 million euros, of which 89% coming from external entities and 11% self-funded by the University. As far as the research products are concerned, Università Cattolica can boast 10 university spin-offs and 35 registered patents.

Over 4,000 publications were produced in 2008 by professors, research fellows and doctoral students of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, of which 65% in a foreign language (mostly in English), with peaks of 90% in the field of physical, environmental, biological and medical sciences.
