Students with disabilities - Milan


Regulations

Students with a certified minimum of 66% disability and students with recognition of a handicap pursuant to Article 3, Paragraph 2 of Law No. 104 dated 5 February 1992, are eligible for exemption of payment of enrolment fees and university fees (a single payment of €100.00 will be due at the time of registration and will cover an administrative fee and stamp duty). To obtain exemption, submit documentation to the Support Service Office (you must also show the original certificate). Exemption will be only granted to students enrolled in the first year of their degree programme and has a duration equal to twice its normal length.

The students who will renew their enrolment to:          

                - 7° year of their undergraduate programme;

               - 5° year of their graduate programme;

               - 11° year of their single cycle graduate programme,

will no longer be exempt from the payment o the university fees, but will pay the amount corresponding to the minimum level of contribution required by current legislation.

For students enrolling, in the 2017/2018 academic year, for successive years, the regulations stated in the first point of this paragraph will be applied, in any case not later than, and including, the 2018/2019 academic year. Exemption will only be granted for a first cycle of studies (3+2) and will not be granted for a second degree programme.


Technical-administrative support


  • Management of administrative practices.
  • Accompanying service for disabled students, compatible with the number of requests.
  • Transport service to the University’s various campuses and the main railway stations (Centrale, Cadorna, Garibaldi) and MM stations (within Area C).
  • Support strategy on teaching materials.

Didactic support


  • Advising for newly enrolled students: supporting the student in the choice of the Degree Programme an in the initial phase of attendance to lessons providing information and strategies useful for undertaking the university experience.
  • Pedagogical consultancy service (through individual interviews and group meetings): didactic assistance focusing on the student’s needs for course attendance and for passing exams.
  • E-learning and teaching consultancy service: organization of periodic individual and group meetings to identify the most appropriate technological solutions to support the university experience.
