Since its foundation in Milan in 1924, the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy has successfully managed to blend traditional knowledge with a focus on innovation. The faculty was one of the first in Italy to offer students the opportunity to study media, mass communication, and the safeguarding of cultural and artistic heritage. Even today, the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy has a modern, up-to-date focus, training students to become professionals in teaching at all levels of education, as well as experts in communication and in the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage. The array of course offerings covers the study of classical and modern literature, philosophy, history, art and archaeology, communication, cultural heritage, and visual and performing arts.
