Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Tuition and University fees

Università Cattolica implements two types of criteria to determine the amounts of tuition and university fees to be paid:

1.      The first, which is valid for most degree programmes, is based on the criterion of the annual family income, assessed according to the nature and amount of income of the student’s household, its size and relative patrimonial situation. In this case, the fees vary depending on the income band.

2.      The second criterion applies fixed sums: the instalments are the same amount for all students enrolled in the programmes for which this type of taxation is envisaged.

For each programme the relevant criterion is specified in the attachment regarding regulations.

The annual amount of tuition and university fees due (usually between €3,000 and 8,900) is divided into three instalments, the first of which is a fixed sum and must be paid at the time of enrolment. The second and third instalments, due respectively in January and April, are partly a fixed percentage and partly a variable percentage that is calculated on the basis of the student’s annual income bracket, the type of family income and a coefficient associated with the relevant programme of study.

In all cases, it is important to check the scholarships and financial support available and any exemptions which may be applicable in specific cases.

International students whose family income derives from countries outside the European Union and Associated States (EFTA Member States plus the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino and the Vatican City) are excluded from the aforementioned criteria; their tuition and university fees are of a fixed amount.
